50th Anniversary
The Magical Milestones
Pressed Penny Collection!
May 4th, 2005 brought one of the best Disney pressed penny collections ever! The 51 penny set was offered via 17 three-play Magical Milestones pressed penny machines at the Disneyland Resort. Most were located inside the gates of Disneyland, others were on property in the resort area. The 51 pressed pennies, plus the Cast Member issue for Advanced Collectors, make for a collection of 52 matching coins. Each one celebrating one year in the history of Disneyland and a bit of history from that year. One excellent collectors' set. But, enough of my rambling... here is a guide dedicated to this super collector set,
The 50th Anniversary Magical Milestones pressed penny guide . There you'll find more of my rambling... and some cool pictures of Magical Milestones framed sets! Happy Collecting,
Boomer

Editor's note: We are often reminded that the preferred numismatic term is "
Elongated Coins ". However, as the rebellious, risk taking, devil may care ParkPennies.com contributors that we are, temptation often gets the better of us. As a result, you may see the more casual, terms like:
stamped coins ,
pressed coins , pressed nickels, pressed dimes, pressed quarters,
smashed pennies , flattened pennies, crushed pennies, squashed pennies, rolled pennies, mashed pennies, stamped pennies, smushed pennies, stretched pennies, memory pennies, keepsake pennies, flattened pennies, and souvenir coin medallions to describe these fun
pressed coin souvenirs. :-) Here are some pages about the often asked questions of
How many pressed coins are at Disney? and
How much do pressed coins cost? Just for fun, here is a page with a bit of a different take on
Pressed Coins Facts and Fiction with tips on how different coins press,
cool pressed coin jewelry , early penny presses... Happy Collecting! Boomer and the folks at ParkPennies.com :-)
