This "DT" Guide is dedicated to Don's Tributes, Disney inspired pressed coins that were designed and issued by Mr. Don Cade, the well known elongated coin collector. Given the nature of guide, like DW Disneyland Wannabes Guide, the DT Guide may not ever be totally complete, definitive or chronological as some coins may be randomly discovered / reported. However, this guide is a listing of all "DT" coins as they have become known to ParkPennies over the years. As Walt might might have said of this guide "This guide will never be completed. DT0001P Horizontal elongated penny image, "∙ DISNEYLAND ∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR, ∙ DISNEY WORLD ∙ " with the designer / roller's initials "DC" just inside the wide wire border opposite the gripper notch. This nicely engraved pressed coin was commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller Donald Cade and was first reported in August of 2018. Because these coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, they were never vended from a public coin press machine. The coin types pressed, per the records and best recollections of the roller, Don C., on this DT0001 "∙ DISNEYLAND∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR,∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD∙" die are: penny / cent, nickel, war nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar, SBA dollar, Presidential dollar, and 1/10 oz. silver bullion. However, some coin types may have been pressed only once as experimental test rolls. (This Disneyland pressed coin number made with the possibly now canceled #DCT0001.0.0 obverse elongated coin die in its original "0" state / variation, paired with a blank "0" reverse coin die.) DT0002P Retired Horizontal elongated penny image, ∙ DISNEYLAND ∙ , PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR, 2019, ∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD ∙ with the designer / roller's initials "DC" just inside the wide wire border opposite the gripper notch and a dot before and after the words "Disneyland" and "Walt Disney World". This nicely engraved pressed coin was commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller Donald Cade. The coin design was first rumored as a future coin on November 17, 2018 and first reported / acquired on December 7, 2018 as an update to his DT0001 2018 undated pressed coin set. On December 17, 2018 the DT0002 pressed coin die was reported broken. Accordingly, we have listed the DT0002 pressed coins as "Retired". A replacement die was engraved in early 2019 to make the DT0003 set coins which are very similar. However, the DT0003 pressed coins are engraved "Pressed Penny Collector" vs. "Pressed Coin Collector" and do not feature dots before and after the words "Disneyland" and "Walt Disney World". Because these coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, they were never vended from a public coin press machine. The coin types pressed, per the records and best recollections of the roller, Don C., on this DT0002 "∙ DISNEYLAND∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR,∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD∙" die are: penny / cent, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar, silver half, SBA dollar, Presidential dollar, Sacajawea dollar, and 1/10 oz. silver bullion. DT0003P Horizontal elongated penny image, DISNEYLAND, PRESSED COIN COLLECTOR, 2019, WALT DISNEY WORLD with the designer / roller's initials "DC" inside a break in the wide wire border near the gripper notch. This DT0003 set was made as a replacement set after the DT0002 set die shaft shattered. Unlike the DT0002 set, the pressed coins in this DT0003 set read "Pressed Coin Collector" vs. "Pressed Penny Collector" and do not feature a dot before or after "Disneyland" or "Walt Disney World". These nicely engraved pressed coins were commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller Donald Cade. The coin design was first rumored as a future coin design in February of 2019 and first reported / acquired by ParkPennies.com on February 16, 2019. The coin die used to make this DT0003 coin set was canceled via addition of an added star as reported by Don C., the roller, on 11/19/2019. Because these coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, they were never vended from a public coin press machine. The coin types pressed, per the records and best recollections of the roller, Don C., on this DT0003 "DISNEYLAND, PRESSED COIN COLLECTOR, 2019, WALT DISNEY WORLD" die are: penny / cent, nickel, dime, quarter, silver quarter, Sacajawea dollar, silver six pence, brass, and 1/10 oz. silver bullion. However, some coin types may have been pressed only once as experimental test rolls. This DT0004 set was made as the second 2019 replacement set after the DT0003 set. The DT0004 coins are easily attributable given the "Script" Disney-style lettering vs. the "Kingdom" Disney-style lettering used on the preceding DT0002 and DT0003 2019 dated coins. These nicely engraved pressed coins were commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller Donald Cade. Engraved by Tenibac-Graphion. This coin design was first reported in mid-October of 2019. The die was canceled in late 2019. Because these coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, they were never vended from a public coin press machine. The coin types pressed, per the records and best recollections of the roller, Don C., on this DT0004 "∙ DISNEYLAND∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR,∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD∙" die are: penny / cent, steel penny, nickel, East Caribbean aluminum 5 cents, dime, Bahamian ten cent, quarter, Canadian steel quarter, Canadian silver quarter, SBA dollar, Sacajawea dollar, “brass-steel” Russian ruble, brass, nickel-sized sliver planchet and brass token. DT0005P Horizontal elongated penny image, ∙ DISNEYLAND∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR, ∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD∙ with the designer / roller's initials "DC" inside a break in the wide wire border near the gripper notch. This DT0005 set and replaces the 2019 dated DT0004 set. The coins in the DT0005 set are easily attributable given the "Script or Brush" Disney-style lettering of "Pressed Penny Collector" vs. the "Kingdom" Disney-style lettering and the absence of a year date. These nicely engraved pressed coins were commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller Donald Cade. Engraved by Tenibac-Graphion. The DT0005 coin design was first reported in late December of 2019 by Michael H. Because these coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, they were never vended from a public coin press machine. The coin types pressed are: penny / cent, nickel, dime, quarter, quarter, and dollar coin. However, some additional coin types may have been pressed as well as experimental test rolls. DT0006P Horizontal elongated penny image, DISNEYLAND, 2020, COVID SHUTDOWN with the designer / roller's initials "DC" inside a break in the dot border near the gripper notch. (Here a link to the Disneyland 2020 COVID-19 Shutdown artwork.) The coins in the DT0006 set were engraved and rolled by the well-known elongated coin collector Donald Cade. The DT0006 coin design was first reported in March of 2020 and the coins were publicly issued in April of 2020. At the time, Don said he wasn't happy with the engraving. However, in my opinion, the lettering style tells the story well. These historically tragic times are testing the people of the world as well as many businesses. Disney Resorts have even closed. But, when the pandemic has passed, I think this coin set will persist as a reminder not to take a day for granted. DT0008I Israeli One Agora. The Elongated Collectors, TEC Newsletter Volume 57, Issue 2, April-June 2022, which was exclusively published for TEC members, included this unique DT0008I Israeli One Agora coin. Mr. Donald Cade advised ParkPennies that per the TEC News request, a limited edition 800 were rolled for distribution.. (Many ParkPennies contributors are TEC Members. DT0009P Horizontal elongated penny image, MAELSTROM, A HIGH SEAS NORWEGIAN TRIBUTE, Malestrom logo, no border, letters "DC" near the coin grip for Donald Cade. This set of coins also features a stampback "∙ DISNEYLAND∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR,∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD∙ ", which has also been reported in use as a stand alone obverse die. (Although blank back coins are known.) Issued in memory of the Walt Disney World Maelstrom ride, July 5, 1988 to October 5, 2014 which was replaced by the Frozen Ever After attraction. DT0013P Retired Vertical elongated penny image, Storybook Land stylized image of Storybook Land's Monstro the Whale and a canal boat entering his open mouth, STORYBOOK LAND, wide wire border, letters "DC" near the coin grip for Donald Cade. This set of coins also features a stampback: "∙ DISNEYLAND∙, PRESSED PENNY COLLECTOR,∙ WALT DISNEY WORLD∙ ", which has also been reported in use as a stand alone obverse die. (Although blank back coins are known.) Issued in honor of the beloved Disney Storybook Land Canal Boat attraction which was first introduced at Disneyland on opening day, July 17, 1955. Coin set reported around 12/2020 and canceled via an "X" above Monstro shortly after due to a small error in the first "o" of Storybook. Yes, it is a very small bump at the top of the letter, but Don is a perfectionist. This very limited coin also features a "Pressed Penny Collector" reverse vs. the DT0014's stampback "Pressed Coin Collector" reverse. This set of coins also features a stampback: "DISNEYLAND, PRESSED COIN COLLECTOR, WALT DISNEY WORLD " which has also been reported in use as a stand alone obverse die. (Although blank back coins are known.) Issued in honor of the beloved Disney Storybook Land Canal Boat attraction which was first introduced at Disneyland on opening day, July 17, 1955. This corrected coin set reported around 1/2021. As a corrected replacement coin for the DT0013, it features a corrected letter "o" in Storybook and a "Pressed Coin Collector" reverse vs. the scarce DT0013's "Pressed Penny Collector" stampback. Yes, it was a very small change, but Don is a perfectionist. DT0029P Horizontal elongated penny image, DISNEYLAND, PRESSED COIN COLLECTOR, 2023, WALT DISNEY WORLD with the designer / roller's initials "DC" for Don Cade inside a break in the wide wire border and outside the dot border near the gripper notch. (This excellent design features both a solid wire border as well as an inner dot border.) As were other coins in this "DT" guide, the DT0029 set was designed, commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller, Donald Cade. These coins were first reported to and received by ParkPennies.com on December 10, 2022. Because this set was exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, the coins were never offered via a public coin press machine. The core coin types pressed are: penny / cent, nickel, dime, quarter. However, other coin types are known including half dollar, dollar coins, SBA dollar, 50 Centavos, and one Agora which were pressed for private collections only. Some additional coin types may have been pressed for issue or as experimental test rolls as well. DT0030P Horizontal elongated penny image, Disney Castle Pre-Show Greeting pressed coin commissioned by ZZZCoins.com. LADIES & GENTLEMEN, image of Disney castle, BOYS & GIRLS, dot border inside of a wire border, letters "DC" near the coin grip for Donald Cade. (Same obverse die as the DT0027 with a special ZZZCoins.com stampback.) This theme memorializes the longtime traditional pre-show or rope drop greeting of "Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls..." was reportedly replaced by "Dreamers of all ages" sometime in early 2021. The new greeting is said to better conform with Disney's diversity and inclusion goals. The coins in this set feature a special business card stampback which reads: "Disney World, Elongated Coins, ZZZCOINS.COM, Disneyland". ZZZCoins reports the initial run of pennies is about 230 cents (all copper) and 15 each of nickels, dimes and quarters has been rolled. Other coin types are known including half dollar, Ecuador 100 sucres, dollar coins, steel cent and One Agora which were pressed for private collections only. Some additional coin types may have been pressed for issue or as experimental test rolls. Additional coins may be rolled if additional coins are needed before October of 2023. Otherwise the edition will close at that time. (We hope to update total issue numbers in late 2023.) Because the coin die was engraved by C&J Engraving and rolled by Don Cade exclusively for the good folks at ZZZ Coins, no coins were ever vended from a public coin press machine. DT0031 Horizontal elongated coin image, "THANK YOU BOOMER, FROM THE, PARKPENNIES.COM VISTORS AND, DISNEYLAND, ELONGATED COLLECTORS" with the designer / roller's initials "DC" for Don Cade inside a break in the dot border near the center bottom of the design. This may be one of my favorite elongated coins. :-) As were other coins in this Don's Tributes guide, the DT0031 was designed, commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller, Donald Cade. The coin was first shown publicly at the March 18, 2023 TEC Meet held at Yorba Regional Park, Anaheim California. About mid-meet Don made a surprise presentation of an amazing gift to "Boomer". It was a framed set including the canceled coin die engraved "Thank you Boomer from the Parkpennies.com visitors and Disneyland Elongated Collectors" with example pressed coins (both canceled and not canceled) over a plaque that read "Presented to Boomer, March 18, 2023, from the parkpennies.com visitors". An extensive group of coin types pressed on the DT0031 coin die accompanied the presentation piece given to Boomer (Robert Hoff). Don Cade also gave all attendees of this meet a sample of this very limited elongated coin, both canceled and uncanceled pressed on Ecuador 100 Sucres coins. Don reports that he rolled 40 coins for the meet. Because these coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the roller, they were never offered via a public coin press machine. This detailed design includes "SoCal COIN MEET 2023", image of the State of California with a star marking the location of the coin meet, "TEC, DISNEYLAND ELONGATED COLLECTORS", with the designer / roller's initials "DC" for Don Cade inside the dot border at the top center of the design. As were other coins in this guide to Don's Tributes, the DT0032 was designed, commissioned and made by the well-known elongated coin collector and roller, Donald Cade. DT0033P Horizontal elongated penny image, PAGING MR MORROW, ELONGATED COLLECTION,∙ PEOPLEMOVER∙, MR. TOM MORROW, PeopleMover logo, no border, letters "DC" near the coin grip for Donald Cade. This coin has the same obverse as the DT0010, however the DT0033 set features a special stampback: "Disney World, Elongated Coins, ZZZCOINS.COM, Disneyland" and ZZZCoins reports that the run was limited to 265 copper cents, 15 each nickel, dime, quarter. (Future business card elongates from ZZZCoins using this reverse will feature a different obverse.) This is the 4th coin Don Cade has produced for ZZZcoins. Previous designs were: DT0019 Monorail,   DT0024 Viewliner   and the DT0030 "Ladies & Gentlemen" castle coin. This 2024 set was commissioned by ZZZCOINS.com in honor of the Disney PeopleMover attraction which was first introduced at Disneyland on June 14, 1959 and WDW on opening day, October 1, 1971. Coin set was first reported December of 2023 as a ZZZCoins.com 2024 featured coin.
