Disneyland Resort Medallion Vending Machine Set #86-89 (Medallion #86-89) originally offered a set of four medallions all Big Hero 6 / San Fransokyo Square themed. The bright brass or "Gold" colored medallions with reeded edges were #86 Wadokaichin style early Japanese coin with Baymax symbol at the top, Kanji symbols Bravery (?) left and Knowledge (?) right and a SFS Logo at the bottom, #87 Baymax waving, #88 San Fransokyo Gate Bridge, #89 Japanese style "fish kites" (Koinobori) flying in sky. Medallion reverses are all the SFS logo (San Fransokyo Square). First reported onstage August 31, 2023, although there was a preview press release showing the medallions on display earlier. The machine was originally located near the Lucky Fortune Cookery counter service restaurant patio area, San Fransokyo Square, Disney California Adventure, Anaheim, USA. Disneyland Resort Magic Key Medallion Vending Machine Set #90-93 originally offered as a set of four medallions, all Magic Key themed. The bright brass or "Gold" colored medallions with reeded edges were #90 Disneyland Castle, #91 Pixar Pal-A-Round ("Ferris wheel" aka 2001 Sun Wheel, 2008 Mickey's Fun Wheel), #92 Walt and Mickey Partners and #93 the classic (1958-1989) Seven-Flag Disneyland Sign. Medallion reverses are all Magic Key logo. The machine was first announced by Disney on October 26, 2023 to be onstage October 27, 2023. The machine was originally located at the exclusive Magic Key Terrace dinning patio in a small gated alcove. These medallions were not as easy to obtain as other medallions at the time. Additional requirements had to be met. You had to have a reservation and ticket / passport to enter Disney California Adventure Park and have a Magic Key "Annual Pass" or a good friend with one to enter the area to purchase these medallions. (Rumors that some avid collectors have been successful in bypassing the last requirement are known.)

Here is the official Magic Key Medallion Instagram post: October 26, 2023 by disneylandmagickey "Attention medallion collectors!! Starting October 27, 2023 a new medallion machine will be available at the Magic Key Terrace in Disney California Adventure Park, featuring four new medallions specially designed for Magic Key holders. Available for purchase during Magic Key Terrace's regular operating hours. Must be dining at the lounge to access the machine (Magic Key Terrace dining reservations are recommended). Designs are subject to availability and may vary. Discounts do not apply. Subject to change or cancellation without notice. Both a park reservation and valid admission are required for park entry."

Cost for these souvenirs at the time was $6.00 each or four for $20.00.

DRM0090-93 REVERSE: "Magic, Key, Disneyland, Resort®" This first of its kind Magic Key reverse features "Magic Key Disneyland Resort" over a stylized Mickey key as a background and a decorative star border. The unique design was first introduced at the Magic Key Terrace on four medallions, #90-93 from machine #23 on October 27, 2023. (The very tiny letters spelling a probable "Resort®", under the word "Disneyland" are very difficult to confirm.)
 


The first Disney 100 Years of Wonder Medallions were placed onstage at the Disneyland Resort by January 27, 2023 via the arrival of eleven new sets of Disneyland Resort Medallions. Because these "Disney 100" medallions are a collection of their own, we have given them this separate guide page which is included as a part of the complete Disneyland Resort Medallion Guide. Pricing increased for Disney 100 medallions from the previous medallion pricing of $5.00 each or four for $15.00 to $6.00 each or $20.00 for four which then became the "standard price" for all medallions at the Disneyland Resort. Of note, the Disneyland Resort Souvenir Medallions all feature reeded edges in varying depths. This medallion set was originally located at Main Street Penny Arcade, Disneyland Park and replaced the DRM00018-21 Disneyland Resort 100 Years of Wonder souvenir set. Disneyland Resort Medallion Machine #94-97, This set was originally located inside the Disneyland Park in the Main Street Penny Arcade / Candy Palace. Around April 26, 2024, a new set of #131-134 Pixar Fest medallions were placed in the Penny Arcade machine and this existing set of #94-97 medallions was moved here to location 1 of the World of Disney Gift Shop in Downtown Disney. Then, around the first week of August 2024, after the Pixar Fest event ended, this set of medallion was moved back to the Candy Palace / Main Street Penny Arcade. The location and button order of this set changed, but the medallions remained the same. The set of four medallions features 2024 Minnie, 2024 Mickey, Daisy & Minnie, Mickey Goofy & Donald. This medallion set was originally located at Main Street Penny Arcade, Disneyland Park by April 26, 2024 was moved to the World of Disney Gift Shop in Downtown Disney, machine location #1. The three re-issued medallions and the new #98 Disney Attraction Series #1 medallion replaced the Disney 100 Years of Wonder medallion numbers 22-25 by January 9, 2024. This dark bronze colored medallion features the a depiction of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction Pig Pen Pirate vignette, a part of the POC back-story. Below the image which includes "#I" is a banner that reads "DISNEY ATTRACTION SERIES". This is the only new medallion offered at this machine location January 9, 2024. Replaced by the Disney Attractions Series #2, Pirate Redd on April 26, 2024. The Disney 100 Years of Wonder medallions number 22-25 were retired by January 9, 2024 and replaced by three of the first four medallions ever placed at the Disneyland Resort, medallion numbers 1, 2 and 3 from back in May 29, 2022, plus this interesting medal in the fourth button spot. Around April 26, 2024, #111 and #114 were replaced by #165 and #166 Pixar Fest medallions. At end of Pixar Fest, around the first week of August, 2024, #111 and #114 returned in the new button order of 111, 114, 112, and 113. The original medallion designs did not change, only there placement in the machine order. The machine was originally located at the Disneyland Hotel, Downtown Disney, Disneyland Resort, USA. Disneyland Resort Medallion Machine #127-130, originally offered this set of four Disneyland Resort medallions on January 30, 2024, the date of the Pixar Place Hotel Grand Opening. The medallions designs were Sulley, aka James P. Sullivan & Mike Wazowski, Woody & Buzz Lightyear, Crush & Squirt, Russell & Dug. On around April 26, 2024, one Pixar Fest medallion was added to the group, the #167 Soul 2020, which replaced the #127 James P. Sullivan & Mike Wazowski medallion. After the Pixar Fest celebration, #127 was returned, however the original machine button order was changed. These four medallions shared a reverse design unique to this set: Grand Opening, Pixar Lamp balancing on top of the Pixar Ball / Luxo Ball, Pixar Place Hotel. The Disney World of Wonder medallions #54-57 were replaced by this set. The machine location was the Pixar Place Hotel lobby, Downtown Disney, Disneyland Resort, USA.
