Pressed Penny Guides

The very first Disney Resort to offer pressed pennies or elongated coins as numismatists call them, was The Original Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California in 1987. However, by 1996, Tokyo Disneyland was well on board and soon became the most prolific home of Disney "pressed penny machines". Then in 2005 Hong Kong Disneyland set their first "Magical Coin Machine" onstage and in 2016 Shanghai Disneyland opened with a great set of pressed coins... Well, lots of elongated coins and lots of history!

To help us organize and identify our collections, ParkPennies guide and news pages are separated by resort and gate (turnstile / ticket entry) for collectors that wish to collect all elongated coins from all Disneyland Resorts or just the coins from one park's "gate" or "land". The guides offer ParkPennies copyrighted coin images, history, and coin guide numbers for Disneyland USA pressed pennies, Chinese pressed penny Magical Coins, Japanese pressed penny medals, and French elongated coins. There is a "Main Pressed Penny News Page" that includes news posts for all Disneyland Resorts around the world. Additionally, the individual guides and news pages for each of the three Disneyland Resorts are directly linked above and via the "Disneyland Coin Guides" and "News and Articles" drop-down menus at the top of most pages. We have also added the "JUMP to Guides, News & Articles ==>" menu at the top left of most ParkPennies pages and the search boxes located at the top right of some ParkPennies pages to search for individual guide numbers and subjects. Lastly, the top right corner of most pages offers the option of "holding" coin images via "frames". Please enjoy whichever features suit you best... Happy collecting!
