The NEW Disney California Adventure
Introduces New Penny Press Machines!

Disney California Adventure CA0144-CA0016 penny press machineNostalgic and a very cool, high quality Disneyland souvenir, still only 51 cents including the penny you can watch being pressed! We feel these new, high quality Disney pressed pennies are going to make for happy guests, busy penny presses, and some really nice framed pressed penny souvenir collections. Especially nice are the new penny press machines featuring new pressed pennies with excellent, well-themed images attributed to Maria Clapsis, the well known Disney character art and merchandise designer.

The post DCA 10th Anniversary pressed penny machines had only a brief stay onstage following the DCA 10th Anniversary pressed dimes. With the exception of the Fly N Buy location, all DCA coin press machines were taken offstage by early June of 2012. Guests attending the Disney California Adventure Grand Reopening ceremony found that the penny press machine part of the onstage show was conspicuously absent. However, after a couple of weeks of anxiety, collectors were greeted on June 30th, 2012, by the first new DCA penny press machine. It was worth the wait. The first new penny press machine, The Mad T Party penny press was first located at the Off The Stage Shop in Hollywood Land. An appropriate spot for this coin press machine because the Off The Page Shop is often frequented by advanced Disneyana collectors. The penny presser set has a Mad T Party theme, and is visible from the busy Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk... when not obscured by a crowd of guests pressing pennies. :-)

Now, after seeing the first six sets of elongated coins for the new DCA, many collectors have commented that the pressed penny design magic from the 1900s had not been forgotten. The Mad T Party pressed penny set offered what many park guests missed and had been asking for and the following pressed penny sets have every bit as nice! UNIQUE WELL THEMED ART which is definitely not generic. GOOD IMAGES AND LAYOUT that included well chosen artwork. Dot borders with a DCA style "D" at the top of each coin. Many of the new coins feature the Disneyland 3-D hand engraving in the style of the 1990s, as well as very fine detailing. Last, but surely not least, the tradition of AMAZING DISNEYLAND RESORT BACKSTAMPS, still exclusive to this Disney Resort, carried on. Matter of fact, the Mad T Party stampbacks were "plused" to include both the the park name, the name of the land where the pennies were pressed, and often a land logo e.g. "Hollywood Land (logo), Disney California Adventure"! All this offered from an exceptionally beautiful themed, hardwood penny press machines!

Happy Collecting from Boomer and the folks at ParkPennies.com.
