and the nickel-sized DL0058 / DL0058A

Hoff support the conclusion that these dies were engraved as penny-size in error. They were meant for use in the Disneyland nickel machine. The small penny sized die images left an unacceptable blank space at the end of the rolled coin. Corrected dies were ordered before the machine was placed on-stage. Per the best information available to us at the time of this report: It is estimated that approximately 7 Mickeys, 10 40th Anniversary and 5 Minnie’s native coin examples are believed to be in the hands of collectors. Examples also are known to exist on non-native coins. Die status is unknown.
