2006 and 2007 has brought pressed penny machines to places outside Tokyo Disneyland Resort's gates. The Resort's Hotels and The Resort Line (Monorail) are becoming main destinations for penny collectors. The places that had few machines in the past, now offer many more and the coin images (dies) are changing often. Here is a window into the souvenir "pressed pennies" of 2006 and 2007 outside Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea.

Editor's note: We are often reminded that the preferred numismatic term for these Tokyo Disneyland souvenirs is "Medals" or "Medallions". However, many avid collectors are known to use the words pressed pennies, as well as elongated coins, pressed nickels, flattened pennies, crushed pennies, squashed pennies, rolled pennies mashed pennies, smashed pennies, stamped pennies, squished pennies, smushed pennies, stretched pennies, memory pennies keepsake pennies or pressed coins when describing these fun "pressed penny" souvenirs.
