The earliest Medal Typer or stamper token at the top has a metallic high-shine finish compared to the later Medal Typer or stamper token shown below it. The earlier version was probably onstage in the 1980s with the anodized version following in the late 1990s. Sometime in the early 2000s the yellow, blue, green and red stamper tokens, without a Disneyland Castle or Mickey Mouse silhouette, were substituted for the original gold-colored Disneyland themed tokens. Rumors have circulated since around 2009 that Disneyland may bring back the Medal Typer with new improved tokens. Happy Collecting, Boomer
