The Disneyland Magical Milestones 50th Anniversary Pressed Penny Set is a very exceptional collection. It commemorates Disneyland’s 50th Golden Anniversary and features 51 matching pressed pennies, each depicting one Magical Milestone year from 1955 through 2005, plus a matching Cast Member issue.

The full set of 51 pressed coins was vended from 17 penny press machines on-stage throughout the Disneyland Resort, Anaheim, California from May 4, 2005 until the night of October 1, 2006. More than one trusted source has reported to ParkPennies.com the coin dies were canceled as of late 2006.

Because of their significance, these coins have been cross-referenced in this section with special reference numbers prefixed by "DG" for Disneyland’s Golden Anniversary followed by the year they commemorate, in addition to their customary collection guide numbers and guide listings in the standard DL, CA, and DR Penny Collection Guides.

Magical Milestone "pressed pennies" are also known as elongated coins, flattened, crushed, squashed, rolled, mashed, smashed, stamped, squished, memory, keepsake, stretched, rolled-out, smushed and pinched penny souvenir pressed coins.

(Vertical Magical Milestones Pressed Penny Image) CAST BLAST, Disneyland 50th Logo, HAPPIEST EVENT ON EARTH 2005, ©DISNEY. Dot border, "e" for Eurolink replaces the dot nearest the center of the gripper slot.

Coins were only available at the Cast Blast Expo on 3/1/05. Only one coin was issued per each Cast Member’s coupon. A total of 7,500 coins were made to order by Eurolink. All coins are believed to be pressed on uncirculated zinc cents. There was no penny press machine at the event.
Addition 3/16/05: Some of the remaining coins were distributed after the event at the Disney Team Center.
