Originally placed in the Castle Gate Gift Shop at the Castle Inn, 1734 S South Harbor Blvd. Anaheim, across from the Disneyland Resort main entrance on 07/03/08. In late 2009 the machine was moved to Tiffy's Restaurant at 1060 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA. The three die machine offered this coin as button "A" and it was the only "DW" elongated coin of the machine's three dies. On 10/30/14, this coin design engraved on a nickel sized die, appeared in The Cove On Harbor mini market's coin press machine at the Tropicana Hotel and joined two other updated DW pressed nickel coin designs in that machine. Then... in 2016, this pressed penny coin die was again returned / revived at The Castle Gate Gift Shop as the "A" button along with two other coins, "The OC California" and "Surfer with Surfboard". (Two coins that do not offer a reference to Disneyland and therefore do not qualify for inclusion in this DW Disneyland Wannabe Pressed Coin Guide.) The plot thickens when the Castle Gate Gift Shop was reported as closed and empty on 2/20/2021 with no plans to reopen. (Actual date of closing unknown) Given the Castle Gift Shop and The Cove On Harbor mini market reportedly share ownership, it is possible this machine will be eventually moved to the Cove On Harbor. DW0044P Horizontal elongated penny image, "My Family Went to Disneyland and All I Got Was This Magical Penny". This nicely engraved coin features the phrase "My Family Went to Disneyland and All I Got Was This Magical Penny" with a centerpiece "Disneyland" script logo and a border of free-form dots which includes some tiny hidden Mickeys. Kelly B's theme was inspired by her love of the phase "All I Got Was..." which she had often seen on T-Shirts and souvenirs. Kelly credited Paul Conner with finalizing the graphic design. This set was first available to the public in December of 2022. The initial number of coins rolled was 525 cents, 50 nickels, 50 dimes and 50 quarters. It is not known for sure if additional coins will be made given Kelly already has her next pressed coin design in mind. All coins in this set were exclusively pressed and offered by Kelly B. and never available via a public coin press machine. (We will update this listing if / when additional information is received.) DW0045 Horizontal elongated coin image, "Happy Birthday, NOV. 18 1928, image of Mickey, image of Joe, NOV. 20 1948, Mickey 95, Joe 75" pressed penny. Rope border with the engraver's initials "CZC" just inside gripper notch for Cindy's Cents. This fun pressed coin was designed and commissioned by Joe F., a longtime Cast Member and avid Disney pressed coin collector, to memorialize and celebrate his birthday relationship with Mickey. The completed pressed coins were first available on September 18, 2023. Because these elongated coins were exclusively pressed and offered by the designer, they were never vended from a public coin press machine. Initial distribution has been to a limited number of friends, collectors, park guests, fellow TEC Members and fellow Cast Members. The coin types pressed by the engraver were: 400 penny / cents and as gift from the engraver / roller, Joe was given two sealed pouches each containing one cent, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar coin. Joe has stated that additional coins may be rolled in the future.
