We just had to display the NEW Coin of the Month pressed penny series here! I know one collector that has done everything he could for many years to persuade the good folks that would listen at Disneyland, USA to offer a Coin of the Month... with no luck. Then to my, er ah, his surprise, in April of 2005, Tokyo DisneySea started a Coin of the Month series! DisneySea was soon joined by Tokyo Disneyland in July of 2005 and matter of fact, in January 2006, Tokyo Disneyland added another Coin of the Month to the monthly series for a total of three! Most all of them are well engraved, themed, and of course, dated. If you would you like to see them all on one page, use this link to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort Coins of the Month page. I think you'll find the coins are up to date from 2005 to present. Although it does sometimes, take Boomer a little time to receive and add the latest coins.

Editor's note: We are often reminded that the preferred numismatic term for these Tokyo Disneyland souvenirs is "Medals" or "Medallions". However, many avid collectors are known to use the words pressed pennies, as well as elongated coins, pressed nickels, flattened pennies, crushed pennies, squashed pennies, rolled pennies mashed pennies, smashed pennies, stamped pennies, squished pennies, smushed pennies, stretched pennies, memory pennies keepsake pennies or pressed coins when describing these fun "pressed penny" souvenirs.
