The CM Cast Member & Special Events
Pressed Penny Guide

All Disneyland Cast Member and Special Event pressed pennies or elongated coin souvenirs known to date are listed in this reference guide. Advanced collectors may also want to include the extremely hard to find DS Disneyland Arcade Shop coins as a key addition to the Cast Member issues listed in this guide section.

The CM Guide is only one section of the Complete Collection of Disneyland Resorts Elongated Coins. Coins available outside the gates of DCA are listed in the other respective guides linked above. See also "Disneyland Resort Elongated Coin Test Rolls" for possible additional details about coins in this "CM" Guide.

Although we are (repeatedly) told the preferred numismatic term is "Elongated Coins", some rebellious ParkPennies.com contributors are known to use more casual, fun terms like: pressed, flattened, crushed, squashed, rolled, mashed, smashed, stamped, squished, smushed, stretched, memory, keepsake, and souvenir to describe these fun penny souvenirs. Whatever your choice of terms, we hope you will enjoy ParkPennies.com and find this reference useful.

Happy collecting,
The Folks at ParkPennies.com

Coin commemorates Ron Dominguez’s retirement in1994.
The number of coins pressed can not be determined because the machine was free to Cast Members back stage and not metered. A quantity of zinc cents were pressed in advance for distribution at the retirement party. Reports to ParkPennies.com suggest the die was presented to Mr. Dominguez as one of his retirement gifts.

(Vertical image) 35 YEARS bust, BILL HOGARTH, ©DISNEY "e" for Eurolink replaces the dot nearest the center of the gripper slot, DISNEYLAND®
An estimated 250 current year, 1998 uncirculated zinc cents were pressed to order in advance by Eurolink for Bill Hogarth’s retirement party on May 19, 1998. A machine was never available. The coins were available to Cast Members and guests who attended the party. As one of his retirement gifts, the die was presented to Mr. Hogarth at the party. It is believed that ten steel cents, nickels and dimes (both clad and silver) may exist as well as a few copper cents (both wheat back and memorial back).

(Horizontal elongated token image) FACILLITES & OPERATIONS SERVICES ©DISNEY, Mickey cogwheel or gear logo, small dot border, "e" for Eurolink replaces the dot nearest the center of the gripper slot.
Back Stamp: 2008 DISNEYLAND® RESORT, FACILLITES & OPERATIONS SERVICES, CAST APPRECIATION BAR-B-QUE.
Preliminary reports state that 300 unpressed "No Cash Value" arcade tokens were distributed to about 150 attendees with the option to press the tokens in the available machine at the 5/15/08 Cast Member appreciation Bar-B-Que.
The die, cut by Eurolink, misses the fine detail of hand engraved dies which makes identification of the small type face and copyright difficult. However, the etched back stamp is sharp and easily legible. This is the first formal use of a "token press" at the park and provides a heavy, quality souvenir in a world of zinc, possibly soon to be copper-plated steel pennies, a welcome innovation in this collector's opinion.
