Section One Pressed Penny Coin Numbers CA0001 ~ CA0030 © 2005 ParkPennies

All known pressed pennies, elongated coins, and penny souvenirs ever issued "on-stage", available to the general public, inside the gates of Disney's California Adventure, DCA or issued in anticipation of the opening of Disney's California Adventure from 1999 on are listed here. The guide is divided into the "Vintage", classic-look coins which were issued through the 50th Anniversary of the Disneyland Resort and Post 50th coins, which so far often have a borderless, plainer appearance.

DCA elongated coins are collected separately by some and are also an important part of the Disneyland Resort, USA, and Disneyland World pressed penny collections. I think collecting these little treasures is a fun, casual hobby. But, it's also a very serious pursuit by many collectors. So, we use the "correct" numismatic terms... sometimes. We often use "Elongated Coins", interchangeably with the more casual terms, pressed pennies and flattened pennies, crushed pennies, squashed pennies, rolled pennies, mashed pennies, smashed pennies, crushed pennies, stamped pennies, squished pennies or stretched pennies (pennys %-) to describe these fun souvenirs. We hope both serious and casual collectors will be tolerant of our indecisive form.

Originally at the Disney's California Adventure Preview Center located in the parking lot that later became Disney's California Adventure and the plaza connecting DCA and Disneyland Park. Removed from the DCA Preview Center March 17, 2000. The DCAPC closed March 19, 2000. Machine was placed at the east end of the Main Street Train Station on March 23, 2000 and the price increased from $.50 to $1. The quarter press machine was moved to the new DCA Preview Center adjacent to The Walt Disney Story / Mr. Lincoln attraction in April of 2000. Retired February 7, 2001.
